A week-long special ritual, Netik Phurba Tordok, which was conducted as a closed-door event, ended today. The annual ritual is performed to dispel obstacles. It is also for the well-being of His Majesty the King, the country, the people of Bhutan, and all sentient beings.
Netik Phurba, or Heart Essence of Vajrakilaya, is a Vajrakilaya practice that Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo received through oral transmission, one of the seven authoritative transmissions.
